Digital consultant in South Wales: IT, security, AI and websites

Straight answers on IT, security, AI and your website, from someone who keeps a business's tills, network and website running.

Mockup: the GET Protocol Community Dashboard on a laptop and a phone: today's totals, tickets sold, re-sold and scanned over the week, the token price and live ticket activity. Sample data.

Most small businesses don't need a consultancy. They need someone to look at what they've got, say plainly what's worth fixing, and leave them with a short list rather than a long report.

Alongside the design and web work, I look after the network and till systems for a group of venues, so I know what breaks on a busy Saturday and what it costs when it does. I'm studying networking and cyber security, and I build with AI day to day, including a tool that reads a photo of a menu and turns it into a live one.

Questions

Digital advice FAQs

Are you a cyber security auditor?

No. I help small businesses get the basics right: passwords, backups, updates, staff access and spotting phishing. If you need formal certification, such as Cyber Essentials, I'll point you to a certified assessor and help you get ready for it.

How much does it cost?

£25 an hour, billed in 15 minute blocks. I'll tell you roughly how long something will take before we start.

Can you fix things as well as advise?

Often, yes. Website, design and print fixes I can do myself. For bigger IT work, I'll tell you what to ask for, so you're not paying for more than you need.

Can you help us use AI?

Yes. I'll look at where the time goes in your week and show you where AI tools genuinely help, like drafting, sorting or reading documents, and where they're not worth the risk.

Do I need to know anything technical?

No. Everything's explained in plain English, and the list you get at the end says what to do and why.
